I think perhaps the most beautiful leaves are those from a grapevine.

Ever since I was very young, there's been a grapevine in my backyard; it snakes about 15 feet along the ground and then climbs up one of our evergreen trees. When I was about six i was still small enough to climb the grapevine and sit in the tree.

So I'd sit, and one spring I even found an abandoned bird's nest up in the branches. Although it's only begun to bear edible fuit in the past few years, its branches have been a continuous source for digital fodder.
